At Max Hockey Coaching, we believe everyone should have the chance to experience the thrill of making a huge glove save. Whether you are a youth player curious about the crease, an adult league skater looking for a change of pace, or someone who has never stepped on the ice—this session is for you.

Why Try Goalie?

The goalie position is one of the most rewarding roles in all of sports. It requires focus, agility, and a little bit of “good crazy.” We want to remove the two biggest hurdles: cost and equipment.

  • Zero Cost: Your first “Try Goalie” session is 100% free.
  • All Ages Welcome: From 5 to 65+, it’s never too early or too late to start.
  • All Skill Levels: Whether you’re a pro skater or a total beginner, we’ll meet you where you are.

How It Works

Getting into the crease is simple. Just follow these three steps:

  1. Schedule Your Session Click the “Book Your Free Session” button below to choose a time that works for you.
  2. Fill Out the Questionnaire Once you’ve picked a slot, you’ll be asked to fill out a quick form. This helps us understand your skating level and, most importantly, your sizing.
  3. Show Up & Suit Up We will review your sizes and do our absolute best to provide a full set of loaner gear that fits you. We’ll help you get dressed and get you out on the ice!

Note on Equipment

Goalie gear is highly specialized. While we maintain a diverse inventory of loaner equipment, please note that gear is provided on a “best effort” basis for fit. We recommend bringing your own skates and helmet if you have them, but we will strive to cover you from head to toe!

  • Do I need to know how to skate? It helps, but it’s not a requirement! We can work on basic movements tailored to your current ability.
  • What should I bring? Wear thin athletic socks and comfortable base layers (like leggings or compression gear) to wear under the pads. If you have your own hockey skates, please bring them!
